Trustea - The India Sustainable Tea Program is an initiative of IDH, The Sustainable Trade Initiative, Netherlands, which aims to move the Indian Tea producers into adopting sustainable agricultural practices, protect the ecosystems whilst improving the quality of life for producers and workers. Wagh Bakri Tea Group is one of the esteemed funding partner of Trustea.

The overall purpose for the implementation of the project is to implement the India Sustainable Tea Program activities ensuring social, economic and environmental sustainability of Indian tea industry. It also includes handholding, capacity building and awareness generation on good agricultural and globally accepted sustainable practices by small tea growers/farmers, workers, bought leaf factories and tea estates.

Under the Trustea program, over 650 Entities and over 69,500 small tea growers are verified. Trustea Program has reached to over 6 lakh workers.
