Akshaya Patra Foundation is a renowned and reputed NGO in India established in the year 2000 with its headquarter in Bengaluru, India and has its presence in most of the cities of India. It strives to eliminate classroom hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the government schools and government aided schools. Alongside, Akshaya Patra also aims at countering malnutrition and supporting the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children. The state-of-the-art kitchens of Akshaya Patra have become a subject of study and have attracted curious visitors from around the world.

In the pursuit to daily provide wholesome meal to the government school students and to decrease the drop out percentage, Wagh Bakri Tea Group joined hands with "The Akshaya Patra Foundation" by providing financial assistance to procure customized Food Distribution Vehicle.

This Vehicle will help Akshaya Patra to ensure and maintain the hygienic and nutritional quality standards of Mid-day Meal cooked food to be provided to the children in the government schools of Ahmedabad.
