Wagh Bakri Tea Group, under its CSR initiative, has created an Endowment Fund of Rs. 90 Lakhs with Blind People's Association India ("BPA"), Ahmedabad, for providing eye care and eye health related benefits to the needy and poor people of the Society at free of cost. BPA is the implementing agency for this CSR project.

During the FY 2020-21, BPA has organized free eye check-up program at Comprehensive Vision Centre, Mahemdabad, District Kheda, Gujarat and total 351 cataract cases were identified and referred to Porecha Eye Hospital of BPA at Bareja, Ahmedabad for performing free eye surgeries. BPA also made efforts to reach out to patients at their doorstep in Jodhpur, Rajasthan by distributing leaflets to enable the people to take the benefit of free eye health check-up. A total of 100 cataract cases were identified in Jodhpur District and referred to Balaji Eye Hospital, Jodhpur for performing free eye surgeries. All patients were also provided medicines at free of cost. Such programs are organized and managed by BPA through its well qualified team of professionals/technical staffs and volunteers.
