The Wagh Bakri Tea Group celebrates its 100th anniversary today with a cake cutting ceremony with children from Smile- IIM Ahmedabad. Smile- IIM Ahmedabad “Student Mediated Initiative for Learning to Excel” is funded by Wagh Bakri CSR Organisation to promote education for underprivileged students. it's a Community outreach for educating underprivileged Children. The journey of WaghBakri Tea Group began 100 years ago with the launch of Gujarat Tea Depot by Shri Narandas Desai on 19th January, 1919 after returning from Durban, South Africa.
